Officers from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to an Alexander Street residence shortly after midnight on Saturday, Nov. 17, where there was a complaint of an assault.
Police said that White Plains resident Anwaar Sanchez, 44, allegedly slapped one person in the head, face and back, and a second victim in the head. The incident escalated from an argument about Sanchez being intoxicated, investigators noted.
Sanchez was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault. He is currently being held by police in Greenwich in lieu of $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Monday, Nov. 19 to answer the charges.
